They had never been this wild.
And now she had his love: all of his love. Now she had his safety and his adoration and heart, and he made her feel like she was the most beautiful thing in the world. When he looked at her, everything stopped for a little while. Everything stopped and her heart soared and she felt like she was free.
She felt like she was powerful.
She sucked harder, moving her hands around to fondle his front. His balls were soft and heavy in his hand. She pet him softly, then more firmly, then gave him a gentle squeeze.
“Baby,” he murmured. “If you don’t let me fuck you soon, I’m going to come all over that pretty face of yours.”
She giggled.
“I could think of worse things,” she laughed, but he was having no more of that. He pulled her to her feet and kissed her hard, then pushed her back onto the bed.
“Strip. Now,” he told her. His own clothes came off and landed in various piles around the room. She wiggled out of her shoes, socks, and pants. Her panties came off, too, and she was naked before him on the bed, spread out, open.
She wasn’t scared.
She was ready.
His dick stood erect and ready for her, and he took a step forward. Her eyes bounced between his cock and his face, and she wasn’t sure what she wanted to look at. She mostly just wanted him: all of him.
“Please,” she said.
Les came to the bed and climbed over her. He thrust into her quickly, biting her neck as he slid his cock inside of her, filling her. Les allowed his hands to roam her body as he fucked her, gliding over her as if it was one long, choreographed dance. He worked her over, playing with her, teasing her, until she came.
She cried out, murmuring his name as her climax swept over her.
“That’s it, baby,” he said. “Give me everything. Give it all to me. Come on, baby.” His fingers reached between them, playing with her clitoris as she came a second time. He seemed to wring every ounce of pleasure from her that he could, grinding deeper and deeper into her. She pulsed around him and somehow, the sex this time was even better than it had been before.
Maybe it was because he loved her.
Maybe it was because now she knew it.
She gripped his shoulders, holding onto him, fearing she might float away or die if she wasn’t clinging to his broad back. She needed him; that much she knew. She needed Les and everything he could give her. She needed everything about him.
She ran her hands through his hair and arched up against him as he, too, came. He kissed her as he orgasmed, his lips soft and sweet against hers, and then it was over.
Then their lovemaking was done.
They lay together like that for a long time, just holding one another. It hadn’t been as hard or fast or dirty as it had been in the past, but somehow, that was okay. Somehow, that was all right.
Somehow, she didn’t need that tonight. She just needed him.
“I love you,” she whispered again.
“I love you, princess.”
“How long have you known?”
“That I loved you?”
“Yeah. How long have you known that you loved me?”
“A long time, baby.”
“Since you met me?”
“Since that very first day. When I saw you kicking ass and looking cute as hell doing it, I knew I had to have you.”
“So you like a girl who can hold her own, huh?”
“I just like you, Wilma. I just like you.”
Chapter 8
They left the little Mirroean hotel and walked hand-in-hand to their rented boat. Les helped Wilma in and she settled in her seat to enjoy the ride back to the docks. They were going to return the boat, then head back to the ship. The sun was beginning to set and they would spend the night on The Dragon’s Bite with Willow and Luke before taking off in the morning.
She wasn’t sure what the future held for them or where they were going to go next, but Wilma knew that it didn’t matter as long as she was with Les. As long as he was by her side, everything would be fine.
The two of them made quite a pair, she thought wryly. He was the alien pilot of an incredibly beautiful ship. He was big and powerful. He was smart. He had seen the universe and he was ready to see more. He was an adventurer, and he was hers.
She was the renegade daughter of Mars socialites. She was a fighter, she was sprightly, and she was wild. She hadn’t seen very many planets and she wasn’t very experienced in the ways of the universe, but she was willing to try.
They both were.
And that was what mattered.
When they reached the docks, he tied up the boat and dropped the anchor to hold it in place. The water was still, but it never hurt to be extra careful, especially when it wasn’t your boat. The Delmartkae brothers didn’t appear right away, but Les seemed efficient in his handling of the situation.
Wilma didn’t help him. She just watched him work quietly, watched the way his fingers deftly glided over the ropes, knotting them.
“How’d you learn to do that so well?” She didn’t know anything about nautical knots. Then again, Wilma was discovering that she didn’t know anything about many aspects of the world. It hadn’t bothered her much until now. She thought she should learn to tie knots. She should learn to tie up a boat. She should learn how to swim and how to sail and how to use a compass.
She could do more than she could before. She could fight now, at least. Growing up she hadn’t been able to do that. She hadn’t been able to hold her own. Not with anything. Certainly not with love.
“Years of practice,” Les said. “My dad used to fish a lot. I went with him.”
“I’ve never been,” she said, peering down at the water. It was clear and seemed to go on forever. She didn’t see any fish swimming beside the boat or the dock, but she could see down into the depths of the water.
Wasn’t that strange?
She knew little about aquamarine life. She knew little about the ways of nature. She was a little scared of the water. It made her just a little bit nervous. It was beautiful, but frightening, and she wondered if when she learned more about it, she would be less afraid.
She reached for the water, trailing her fingers through the water.
It was cold against her skin.
“All right,” Les said, tightening the final knot. “Let’s go, darling.”
She grinned and hopped up, but moved a little too fast for the tiny boat. Despite being tied up, it was still wobbly, and she moved quickly to try to regain her balance, but it was too late.
Lesmentarao reached for Wilma as she fell overboard, crashing into the water. She flailed her arms about, but it wasn’t enough. It wasn’t enough and as she began to sink down, she wondered whether this was it.
Was this the end?
She’d had a good run with Les, she had to admit. They’d been perfect for each other, even for a short time. They’d been good and sweet together. They’d had fun.
All fun things had to end though, right?
Anything good eventually had to stop.
You couldn’t find something perfect and have that last forever. That wasn’t the way things worked. That wasn’t the way the world worked.
The water covered her face and body and as she started to sink to the depths of the Mirroean Sea, Wilma wondered whether they would have had beautiful babies.
They would have had beautiful babies.
Chapter 9
He dove into the water and grabbed her. What kind of Earth girl didn’t know how to swim? Didn’t they have lakes and oceans there? Didn’t they have rivers? The thought passed through his head and quickly vanished. He knew Earth had lost most of its lushness years before its destruction. Now the planet was gone and Wilma would be soon, too, if he didn’t move it.
And Les didn’t plan on losing her.
She was perfect and sweet: the best combination of sassy and spicy. She was his. She was entirely his.
He stayed ca
lm as he wrapped his arms around her and brought her to the surface of the water. She had only been under for a few seconds, and she gasped and started coughing as soon as her head broke the surface of the water.
He carried her to the dock and lifted her to the boardwalk, then he climbed up beside her to make sure she was all right.
“You saved me,” she whispered.
“Don’t be so dramatic,” he smiled.
“But, but I could have died.”
“I wouldn’t let anything happen to you.”
“I could have drowned.”
“I was right there to protect you. I was right there to make sure you were okay. You weren’t going to drown.”
He stroked her wet hair, looking into her eyes. She still looked so scared, so worried.
“I would never let anything happen to you. You know that, don’t you?”
She didn’t even hesitate. She just nodded.
“I know,” she touched his face. “You’ll always be here for me. You’ll always look after me.” Les knew more about Wilma than she realized. She didn’t know that sometimes she’d fall asleep for a little while in his bed or that she’d talk in her sleep. He cherished those moments, those precious seconds before she woke up and remembered she was supposed to be back in her own room.
He loved the way she talked to him, the way she trusted him. He loved the way she looked at him like she could do anything in the whole world as long as he was by her side.
“Oh dear!” A shrill voice sounded from beside them, and they looked up. The three Delmartkae brothers were standing over them. “An accident! An accident!”
“I’m fine, really,” Wilma insisted, but the brothers pulled her to a sitting position and covered her with a blanket and shoved a cup of hot cocoa in her hands.
“I’m fine, too,” Les said, but it was too late. The brothers covered him with his own blanket and shoved a steaming cup of cocoa in his hands. He wasn’t going to drink it. He didn’t need it. He was a big, strong man, damn it. He didn’t need cocoa.
Only, as the scent of the chocolate wafted up, Les couldn’t help himself. He took a long sip and sighed with contentment. Wilma was doing the same.
“Thank you,” she murmured. “This is just perfect.”
She turned back to Les and smiled shyly.
“Hey, sweetie?”
“Yes, princess?”
“I think I want you to teach me how to swim.”
He chuckled and nodded.
“Anything for you, babe. Anything for you.”
Chapter 10
“Did you guys have fun?” Willow asked once they were back on the ship. They all gathered in the control room as Les and Luke readied the ship for take-off. Willow wiggled her eyebrows suggestively, smiling brightly at her sister.
Wilma didn’t even mind.
She was too happy to pretend to be sour or offended that her sister asked her something so personal.
“Yeah,” she admitted quietly. “We had an amazing time.”
“And you don’t just mean the sex,” Willow winked.
“Come on now.”
“Sorry. It’s been like four hours since I got laid. I’m getting weird.”
Luke turned from his position beside Les and smiled at the twins.
“Glad you had a good time, Wilma. You deserve it.” He winked at her, then jerked his head toward Les. “And he’s a lucky man, Wilma. He’s a lucky, lucky man. We both are.”
“Thanks, brother o’mine,” Wilma said. She tried not to tear up, but an incredible realization washed over her. She hadn’t realized it until this very second, but she was home now. She hadn’t been before. She had been a traveler who found Mars, then a fighter who found The Dragon’s Bite, but she had never been home.
She hadn’t had one.
Now she did.
Wilma was her home.
Luke was her home.
Les was her home.
They were her family now, and they would be forever.
They wouldn’t leave her because she didn’t have a lot of money or a lot of skills or a lot of bravery. They wouldn’t leave her because she didn’t know what she wanted to do with her life or because she got scared sometimes.
They were there for her no matter what.
Once the ship was off the ground, once they were up in the sky, once they were floating through space, Les stood up and walked over to Wilma.
“I think Luke and Willow can handle things for a little while. Don’t you?”
She nodded slowly.
“Yeah. I’m sure they’re fine. They’re pretty smart. They can, um, survive without us. For a little while, it’s fine.” She was nervous, suddenly, and she wasn’t sure why. She shouldn’t be. Not now. Not with Les, but she was.
He was so big and so strong and so handsome.
He was brave and fierce and everything she was not.
But he was hers.
“Go on then,” Luke said, taking the captain’s chair. Willow climbed on his lap and wrapped her arms around him. “We’ll see you kids later.”
Wilma had a feeling her sister and brother-in-law didn’t mind having alone time one bit. Her sister may have been a stone-cold virgin when she met Luke, but she was a sexual goddess now. Her confidence had grown and it shone through in everything she did.
Luke had been good for her sister, just as Les was good for her.
Wilma shrieked in surprise as he picked her up and carried her out of the room and down the narrow hallway.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
“Taking what’s mine.”
“Is that right?”
“Yeah, baby. That’s right. Call me a caveman, call me a silly Dom, call me whatever you like, but you’re mine, and I’m never letting you go.”
She leaned her head against him gently and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“You can keep me forever if you like,” she whispered.
“Baby, that’s exactly what I intend to do.”
He brought her into his room and laid her gently on the bed. They were naked in no time at all, and then he was inside of her. He positioned her legs over his shoulders and thrust into her again and again until she couldn’t take anymore, until she couldn’t hold back and she was coming.
She held his face and his hair as she came, closing her eyes, whispering his name. It was perfect because it was with Les. It was perfect because he was sweet and kind and good and always looking after her.
“My turn, baby,” he growled. “I can’t wait to come inside of my sweet queen.”
He rolled so he was on his back with her straddling him. She loved this position. It gave her a feeling of control, a sense of determination, an understanding of just how fucking beautiful she was to him. She had a clear view of his face and he had a clear view of her body.
She started rocking.
She bounced on his dick, working him over until his body tensed and he started shaking with his own climax. He thrust up into her as he came, filling her with his seed, marking her as his own.
Wilma lay her head on his chest and Les wrapped his arms around her.
This was it for them.
This was what she had to look forward to.
He was her alien and she was his mate, and they would take care of each other for always.
Forever.

Bella needs a job.
Or a boyfriend.
Or a place to live.
What she doesn’t need is a polar bear shifter mate who wants to dominate her inside and outside of the bedroom.
But when she goes to Colorado for her brother’s wedding and meets Senior Airman Reese, everything changes.
1.
Bella Taylor’s twin brother was getting married in two days.
He was getting married in two days and Bella did not want to be at the wedding. Why did she have to go, anyway? Yeah, he had found his “one true mate” and all that garbage, but did he actually need her there?
Not so much.
She would rather be curled up in the spare room at her parents’ house with a good book and a cup of cocoa. The last place on Earth she wanted to be was Nowhere, Colorado.
Needless to say, her attitude needed a little bit of work. She didn’t really care, though. Everyone was getting married but her and the realization stung. Bella had worked hard in school and worked hard at her jobs and worked hard to keep her scholarship, but there was no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
No, there was just joblessness and living at her parents’ place.
When Bella arrived in Colorado, she had been greeted warmly by her brother and his buddies. She had met Mary and Brent’s two best friends: Jake and Ryan. Their wives were nice, too. Everyone was nice. Nice and understanding.
